Event Description Members of nonprofit boards are often expected to fundraise; yet, "asking for money" ranks as one of the top fears for many people. As a result, many board members feel guilty or become involved in high risk, low return, and time-consuming fundraising events. These two classes will demythologize the elements and process of fund development, explain the role of fund development in good board governance and give practical ways to be involved in fund development beyond making the actual ask for money. The first class is on April 6 from 6 pm to 8 pm. The second class is on April 13 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
