    Whitefish Review Hosts Canadian Author Angie Abdou

    Event Description Whitefish, Mont. (February 5, 2016) --Whitefish Review will host Canadian author Angie Abdou on Thursday, February 11 at Crush Lounge for a reading from "Between" (2014, Arsenal Press). Her most recent novel is about the complexities of class, gender, parenthood, and desire, and has been praised by critics from The Globe and Mail, National Post, Winnipeg Review, and Vancouver Sun.
     
    New York's Library Journal listed it as a Top 13 Indie Pick for Spring 2015 and it was named a "Best of 2014" book by PRISM Magazine, 49th Shelf, and The Vancouver Sun. Angie is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Athabasca University.
     
    Fernie, British Columbia writer Keith Liggett will also read poetry from his book "Like socks in the dryer," and local author Susan Purvis will read from her memoir "Hang Fire: Adventures with an Avalanche Dog."
