Our focus will be on the finer points of building using coils: rolling coils that will make good building-blocks, how to use coils to shape forms, and experiment with different-shaped coils for more decorative effects.
A basic understanding of handbuilding with clay is recommended - students should expect to manage how their clay is drying, be able to adjust their technique for potentially delicate work, and will experience working in stages that will best suit what the clay is doing.
Attendees may keep one small creation, which will be glazed clear and ready for pickup roughly 3 weeks after the class.
