Glacier Glide Race 2026

January 14th UPDATE: The race will take place at the Big Mountain Trailhead, 3315 Big Mountain Road, Whitefish, due to low snow levels in town. Lunch will still be available at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course! All times are still the same. Thank you!

Races are at separate times so participants will have the opportunity to race both skate and classic with separate awards for each. There will also be a 1k Freestyle option and a Kids Cookie race. The price for all races includes a post-race lunch of chili and mac & cheese. Non-racers can buy lunch for $8.

This race is part of the Montana Nordic Cup series. Receive points for both races. 

Events:

1k Freestyle race (classic or skate)
3.5k Skate and Classic races (Compete for combined time top 3 by doing both via the Junior Pursuit Viking Challenge!)
10k Skate and Classic races (Compete for combined time top 3 by doing both via the Pursuit Viking Challenge!)
Kids Cookie Scramble

The Pursuit Viking Challenge is completing the 10k Classic and 10k Skate, and calculating the overall combined time for the top 3 winners. The Junior Viking Challenge is completing the 3.5k Classic and 3.5k Skate. Please sign up for the Challenge if you are planning to complete both races. (Montana Cup Points will be given off of individual race times. If you sign up for either pursuit challenge, you will get points off individual race times.)
