Sep 11    Whitefish High School Reunions - Class of 1964 & 1965
WHS 1965-1964 REUNION
 
50th and 51st Whitefish High School Reunions are planned for September 11, 12, 13 in Whitefish.  The groups are having a reception Friday, the 11th at the Whitefish Moose Lodge and cordially invite all former teachers and members of all the 1960’s classes to join us for refreshments, reminiscing and good fun.  Cost for the evening is $20.00 per person and there will be a no-host bar.  There will be a raffle of classmates’ arts and crafts and other surprises.  Don’t worry about knowing anyone, we will have nametags!!  Join old friends at 5:30 P.M. Sep 12    Great Fish Community Challenge - Fish 5K Color Run and Fair
Celebrate the Great Fish Community Challenge by participating in the Fish 5K Color Run and Community Fair. The Whitefish Community Foundation will host a free breakfast, starting at 9:00 am, followed by a 5K Color Run at 10:00 am. Stay for the Community Fair where your favorite nonprofit organizations will host interactive and fun booths. This is a new and unique event for Whitefish, so bring your friends and family!

Sep 12    Wetland Wanderings and Wings
Come out and enjoy the magic times of early fall while exploring wetlands, lake habitats, and forest edge effects. We will start off with a brief overview, and then proceed to several field sites where we will investigate and study vegetation, terrestrial mammals, weasels, tracks, sign, and scat. Bring along your binoculars and spotting scopes as we will scout and spot for birds of prey, passerines and waterfowl. Please come prepared for a full day with lunch, water, boots and cameras. This hike will wrap up around 4:00 p.m. Cosponsored by Montana and Flathead Audubon.

Handel's MessiahBilled as a light-hearted tribute to one of America’s most popular silent movies The General (circa 1926) is Buster Keaton classic comedy brought to life. Composer Rick Friend, who plays piano along with the symphony, has incorporated music from the music of Beethoven, Kabalevsky, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky and the American tradition into the score.
