Fundraiser for Special Olympics Check In Time 8:00 to 10:30 am . Concession Stand - City Beach

 A free bus runs every 15 min from First Interstate Bank starting at 9:00 am  Cheer on a hundred people as they jump in frigid water of Whitefish Lake for the Special Olympics.

Feb 11    Whitefish Review Hosts Canadian Author Angie Abdou
Whitefish, Mont. (February 5, 2016) --Whitefish Review will host Canadian author Angie Abdou on Thursday, February 11 at Crush Lounge for a reading from "Between" (2014, Arsenal Press). Her most recent novel is about the complexities of class, gender, parenthood, and desire, and has been praised by critics from The Globe and Mail, National Post, Winnipeg Review, and Vancouver Sun.
 
New York's Library Journal listed it as a Top 13 Indie Pick for Spring 2015 and it was named a "Best of 2014" book by PRISM Magazine, 49th Shelf, and The Vancouver Sun. Angie is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Athabasca University.
 
Fernie, British Columbia writer Keith Liggett will also read poetry from his book "Like socks in the dryer," and local author Susan Purvis will read from her memoir "Hang Fire: Adventures with an Avalanche Dog."

Feb 20    Glacier Nordic Club's Full Moon Community Ski & WHS STAND Fundraiser | February 20, 2016 | 5pm-8pm
Join Glacier Nordic Club for this full moon community ski on our 12 kilometers of trails. Four kilometers are lighted in the event of a cloudy evening. FREE SKIING (no day pass required) STARTS AT 3 PM! Ski rentals are available at the Glacier Nordic Shop for half-day rates starting at 3 p.m. All rentals may be returned on Sunday the 21st. Trail maps are available at the Glacier Nordic Shop.

WHS STAND fundraiser for Kids Against Hunger will offer hot chili for $4, free hot cocoa, and a raffle beginning at 6 p.m. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20. For more info about WHS STAND visit its Go Fund Me page at https://www.gofundme.com/wcjqpxsc.
