Jan 3    MEMBERS' SALON, AN ANNUAL EXHIBIT OF ARTIST MEMBER WORKS

Voting in the Peoples’ Choice Awards begins November 10, and everyone is invited to come in and vote for their favorite work.  Each year, the Hockaday awards $250 to the First Place winner, $100 for Second, and $50 for Third Place honors.  Many of the pieces are offered for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Museum.  The 2016 Salon will feature the works of over 80 Hockaday artist members. 
 
The reception for the Members’ Salon will be held concurrently with the opening for Karen Leigh’s retrospective, Journey: A Painter’s Life, on Thursday, November 10 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

The Whitefish Community Center will be launching Coloring Parties!! This is exactly like it sounds. we will offer a wide range of coloring books, pencils and crayons. Coloring for adults is all the rage - yes it's a "thing"!  This will be held the 1st & 3rd Mondays of each month starting at 1:00pm.

The Interactive Children’s Concert with Billy B is scheduled for Saturday January 28th at the O’Shaughnessy Center in downtown Whitefish. In addition to the entertaining songs sung by Billy B, Montana Wild Wings Recovery Center will be bringing several live raptors. The live raptor exhibit will be from 4:30-5pm. The concert will begin at 5:15pm. There will be pizza by the slice and yummy baked goods available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased at Imagination Station in Whitefish and Kalispell, they will be $8 in advance & $10 at the door.
