An intimate cabaret-style, "Always..Patsy Cline" returns to Whitefish Theatre Co.'s stage due to popular demand for a summer encore performance.  The great, iconoclastically gutsy, country music singer, Patsy Cline, known for her warmth, wildness, and vast emotional reservoir of a voice, is a timeless treasure with enduring songs like "Crazy," "Walking After Midnight," "Your Cheating Heart," "I fall to pieces," and "Back in Baby's Arms."

RMHS came to Whitefish last summer and put on a great hockey camp. Their coaches were top notch. They run a very organized and extremely professional operation. RMHS gears their camp toward Squirts through Bantams with a special Mites/Hot Shot camp too. We are fortunate to have them back!

Aug 5    35th Annual Big Mountain Run
The Glacier Nordic club will hold its 35th annual Big Mountain Run!  The race starts at the Danny On Trailhead at Whitefish Mountain Resort and ends at the summit-3.8 mile course.  Runners will compete for the titles of King and Queen and Prince and princess of the Mountain.  Dogs, with a runner, will compete for the "Top"Dog.  Hikers are welcomed!  All runners finishing the course in a time less than their age(women-age plus 10 minutes) qualify for the Birthday Club and receive a cupcake. All registered runners(except dogs) receive a free chair lift ride back to base.  
The proceeds benefit the non-profit Glacier Nordic Ski Team which serves over 200 youth each winter!

 With over 100 years of tradition, the NW Montana Fair & Rodeo comes alive each year in August featuring three nights of PRCA Rodeo action,  huge concerts, carnival rides galore, and great food. Join in the fast paced excitement of Indian Relay Races or the Demolition Derby. Enjoy the squeals and thrills of Pig Wrestling as teams compete in the mud for the championship. Other fair highlights include great local talents on the free stages, the fair parade in downtown Kalispell, livestock show and sale, and more than 100 commercial exhibitors to shop. There's so much to see and do, you'll want to stay for everything!

The heart of the NW Montana Fair is more than 6,000 exhibits showcasing the talents and passion of our regional residents. From quilts to mini-horses, floriculture to rabbits, you're sure to see blue ribbon displays throughout the fair. Learn tips and techniques on baking, floral arrangements, gardening, needlework, photography, wood working. Admission is only $5 and seniors or children are free everyday!

The annual fair parade takes place Friday, August 21st at 10:00 am on Main Street in Downtown Kalispell.

12 & 24 hours of Flathead is a benefit mountain bike race to provide adaptive sports equipment and recreational opportunities to those living with paralysis and other life-altering disabilities. Racers can choose from 12 hour or 24 hour options and can be done as an endurance soloist, duos or a team of 3-5 people. Race begins at 10 a.m. on August 19th. The 12 hour portion ends at 10 p.m. and 24 hour portion ends at 10 a.m. on August 20th. Camping and food are available for additional fee.
